Handmade Terracotta Jhumka Earrings

Terracotta is found and practiced widely across the world, but it is especially prominent in India. terracotta craft has deep roots in states like West Bengal, Odisha, Assam and many places where generations of tribal and rural artisans have preserved this tradition. The process begins with natural clay collected from riverbanks or fertile soil. The clay is cleaned, kneaded, and shaped by hand into jwellery or art forms. Once shaped, the pieces are sun-dried and then fired in a kiln, which gives terracotta its distinctive earthy red-brown color and strength. Many pieces are later hand-painted or polished using natural pigments, making each creation unique.
